WHERE MOZAMBIQUE'S COASTAL MIOMBO FOREST MEETS THE WESTERN

INDIAN OCEAN.

The Inhambane Seascape - classified by the IUCN as a Globally Exceptional Marine Area, and by UNESCO as a Potential World Heritage Site - is also a Mission Blue Hope Spot and a unique bioregion scientifically recognized as essential to the health of southern Western Indian Ocean marine ecosystems.

The Malamba-Mazuene Coastal Collaborative is located in the heart of the Inhambane Seascape, working alongside the communities of Malamba and Mazuene, governmental, and national and international partners  invested in ensuring the integrity of this critically important marine and coastal bioregion and its communities.
